Nashville, TN provides a rich and welcoming location for our 2017 Reunion. Many fun activities are planned and we worked hard to make the Reunion as "budget friendly" as possible. This endeavor becomes more difficult each year as prices and taxes continue to rise.
Heralded as Music City, U.S.A., and the country-music capital of the world, Tennessee's fast-growing capital city also shines as a regional center and is known as the Athens of the South. Nashville is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, with restaurants, specialty shopping, and entertainment options. Historic sites throughout the area—such as the Hermitage and the Belle Meade Plantation—add another dimension to the city. We look forward to visiting Nashville and enjoying its historic roots, southern hospitality and entertainment venues.

The GuestHouse Internaional Inn & Suites - Nashville/Music Valleyhas been selected as the reunion hotel. A block of 20 rooms has been reserved for VP-28 Shipmates and their guests. Hotel accommodations are separate from the Reunion Registration and you must book your room directly with the GuestHouse. The 20 rooms is fewer than we have reserved in the past. So first, book your hotel room early (615-885-4030) so we can increase the number of rooms if needed.
*Group rate of $100.50 is honored for 3 days before and after meeting dates.

Tuesday, November 7 -Arrival/Check in Day
Arrive on Tuesday for Hotel and Squadron check-in. No formal activities are planned for Tuesday. Relax in the Hospitality Suite and learn about your options for dinner in the Music Valley area. Click herefor a map of our hotel area and attractions.
Wednesday, November 8 - Out and AboutExploring Nashville
Wednesday is reserved for exploration and recreation. Many attractions are awaiting you in Nashville. The sights and sounds of the city will be our main focus today. Our prior Reunion experience has shown us that trolleys are a great way to tour and visit attractions and get a feel for the city. The Trolley will pick us up and return us to our hotel. The narrated trolley tour stops at 15 points of interest in the downtown area of Nashville. You have hop-on/hop-off privileges for Wednesday and Thursday. Click here to view an interactive map of the trolley stops. We would recommend you take the full tour to get an idea of which stops interest you. You can then repeat the circuit and hop on/hop off to enjoy your points of interest.
Thursday, November 9 - Free Day For Play
Squadron Luncheon [11:30am]
Take part in any activity you desire on Thursday, however keep in mind we have the opportunity to join together for a Squadron Luncheon with entertainment. We will walk across the street to the Opry Backstage Grill (Inside the Inn At Opryland Hotel.)
Friday, November 10 - Happy Veteran's Day
Friday will be our busy day and will include a visit to the General Jackson Showboat. Enjoy your cruise down the Cumberland River on one of the largest paddlewheel riverboats in the country. Luncheon cruise entertainment includes a country music variety show featuring country comedy, fiddle and guitar soloists and a live country band.
